It is the most fatal disease in Indonesia. Medical rehabilitation has been clinically proven to be an effective strategy to minimize disability in stroke patients.

Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The data source was obtained from BPJS Kesehatan sample data for 2022. The sample units for this study were all patients with a diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease. This study examined 3,528 patients, representative of a larger population of 339,707 patients.

Results: In 2022, healthcare costs for stroke patients in Indonesia, covered by BPJS Kesehatan, varied widely from Rp 1,937,400 to Rp 207,675,700, averaging Rp 8,487,531 per person. BPJS Kesehatan's total spending on stroke treatment and rehab in 2022 was Rp 2,883,269,825,972. The productive age group constitutes the majority of stroke cases, comprising 68.9% of the total, with males representing the predominant gender at 54.5%. The biggest group benefiting from this were those receiving Beneficiary Contribution Assistance (PBI), making up 46.5% of all National Health Insurance participants.

Conclusion: This study indicates that providing medical rehabilitation during the golden period yields greater efficiency compared to its absence. This recommendation extends beyond cost-saving measures, emphasizing a strategic investment in national welfare through the enhancement of individuals' quality of life. Therefore, policymakers, BPJS Kesehatan, hospitals, and healthcare professionals are encouraged to factor this insight into their decision-making processes.
Mahar Santoso, Wiku BB Adisasmito, Syarif Rahman Hasibuan Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Keterapian Fisik https://jurnalketerapianfisik.com/index.php/jpt/article/view/422 Mon, 20 May 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Effect of Using Custom Foot Orthosis on Musculoskeletal Disorders Security Bank https://jurnalketerapianfisik.com/index.php/jpt/article/view/399
Backgrounds: Musculoskeletal disorders are one aspect that can hinder productivity and work activity. The use of picture memory exercises has never been provided by teachers in schools. This study aims to determine the effect of picture memory training on improving children's language skills.

Methods: This study used an experimental design by giving treatment to children over a period of time and then measuring their language proficiency profile. The intervention was conducted using the picture-memory approach. The study design involved a single-group intervention with assessments conducted before and after the intervention. The target of the intervention is children with language impairment.

Results: From the results of the Wilcoxon test, it was found that receptive language skills, especially receptive vocabulary, showed a p-value of 0.002. These results indicate that the picture memory intervention is able to improve receptive vocabulary skills. For expressive vocabulary, a p-value of 0.034 was found. The result also showed that the picture memory intervention was able to improve expressive vocabulary. Picture memory intervention resulted in changes in receptive vocabulary with an r-value of 0.44. Picture memory intervention resulted in changes in expressive vocabulary with an r-value of 0.29.

Conclusion: The results of the analysis showed a difference in impact where the receptive vocabulary component was the component that changed more than the expressive vocabulary. However, the provision of a picture memory training intervention can be said to be able to improve language skills in general.
Arif Siswanto, Hafidz Triantoro Aji Pratomo Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Keterapian Fisik https://jurnalketerapianfisik.com/index.php/jpt/article/view/426 Mon, 08 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0700 The Effect of Auditory Perception Training on Speech Ability and Hearing Impairment in Children https://jurnalketerapianfisik.com/index.php/jpt/article/view/416
Background: Hearing is one of the five senses that plays an important role in early childhood development.
